My Code of Conduct

I wish to be transparent about how I create content and how I earn a living creating content.

Journalism Ethics

I follow the general rules of journalism ethics but I do want to stress the following:

·      I pride myself on being an honest journalist.

·      Every opinion I express is 100% of my own volition.

·      Any information I report on will be fact-checked, sourced, and produced with integrity.

·      I don’t like “gotcha” journalism. My interview/writing style will be to highlight the subject, but not attack who they are.

·      I acknowledge the individual’s rights to be respected personally and maintain their privacy.

·      I make sure any source is protected. Any source that prefers to be anonymous will remain as such.

Sourcing

 Any source I use will be credited. I stand by any words I write or say and claim those words as my own. If I use any words or work from anyone else, the proper credit will be cited and given to the original entity that produces the content.

Compensation

I’m currently not employed by any company.

I don’t have any clients to write about now.

My pension and savings are administered by a financial institution. I have no knowledge or influence on their choice of securities. No one pays me to say – or not say – certain things on my blog or other media platforms – be they words, sounds, pictures, or video.

I don’t accept money, free products, discounts, free trips, or anything of value from the companies I write about. I have a media pass with Warner Bros. Entertainment that allows me access to photos, movie trailers, and press releases. However, I don’t receive any compensation from Warner Bros. and don’t have to temper my opinions based on any content I produce about Warner Bros. Entertainment.

If I am to review a product, I will review the product in a live stream or pre-recorded content and disseminate it throughout my social media platforms.

Boards & Networks

I currently don’t sit on any Boards nor have I joined any networks currently.
